Read more about Amigos de las Américas.

Amigos de las Américas of Washington, DC recruits high school students from the Washington area to participate in five-, six-, and eight-week community health projects in Latin America. The chapter provides a year-long training program for 20 to 40 young people and organizes fundraising events each fall and spring. The chapter activities are managed by a volunteer group of adults who believe in the value of making this type of summer experience available to youth from the Washington, DC area.
